vix homepage, the sequel

Another week. Well New Year's Eve was all I could hope for. An intimate dinner for 3. Watching the fireworks on TV. (not quite the same as being there) Asleep by 12:15.On Thursday we were supposed to see a preview of "The Pianist", but it was sold out, so we saw "Chicago." It was a fun movie, but it reminded me of work and I got jailsick. The Queen Latifah character reminded me of some of my C/o ladies, in a good way.
Saturday we went to the Opera and saw "Dialogues of the Carmelites". Not as much fun as "Chicago", but similar in plot. Lots of ladies in trouble.
Movies I have seen this week:
-
Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her
-
School Ties

-

Unwrapped Record Breakers--this requires some explanation. Unwrapped is a show on the Food Network where they do educational things, like showing you how Clark bars are made. On this particular show, they had the world's largest peanut, largest Barbeque truck, the magnet lady
who wants to be buried inside of her refrigerator when she dies so she can be close to her 5,000 magnet collection, and a very informative side bar on competitive eating.
I am reading "Lily White" by Susan Isaacs
Wish I could go for a walk.

How could I have left out Thailand? I was there with Phil in March. Just finished putting the pictures into the album.
Last night we met some movie guys to see a preview of "Nicholas Nickelby." It was great being at the movies. The experience was uneventful except for when Phil closed the car door on my thumb and I demonstrated my B-movie shreiking talent. Which was somehow my fault. (door on thumb, I know the shreiking was my fault) I wasn't any more embarrassed than when I slid down the steps at the Met and the guy in the seat in front of me told me he admired my work. Actually, I was quite pleased. It was my first performance at the Met.
Today I am trying to arrange my return to work. also I am returning all the phone calls I have received in the past months.
I kind of like being at home.
