THIS IS THE ONE YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR... Have you tried to find somewhere to go for the biggest New Year's Eve of your life only to find parties that cost a minimum of $1000? Do you want somewhere safe to go when your VCRs, TVs, clocks and computers all go bonkers because of the Y2K Bug? Want to get away from all those morons who say that the new century/millennium doesn't start until January 1, 2001? Then plan to spend your New Year's Eve at the Palladium Restaurant and Bar on the University of Pennsylvania's campus!!! WHEN:Friday, December 31, 1999 WHERE:The Palladium Restaurant and Bar 3601 Locust Walk Philadelphia, PA (215) 387-3463 www.palladiumrestaurant.com TIME:8:00 PM - 2:00 AM (Cocktail hour at 8:00 PM, with dinner at 9:00 PM) DRESS:Semi-formal PRICE:$95 per person ($85 if your payment is postmarked by Thanksgiving - 11/25/99) (both the DJ and restaurant raised their prices for just this year, but I expect the cost to be back down to the normal price next year) WEB SITE:Look at pictures from last year's party at www.voicenet.com/~rccola PRICE INCLUDES:Open bar until 1:30 AM Hot/cold hors d'oeuvres and full buffet dinner Desserts and coffee following dinner DJ all night and dancing after dinner Champagne toast and party favors at midnight Roaring fire and cozy atmosphere Special mementos of the event Group picture taken before dinner available afterwards as a JPG image file or 8 X 10 prints (extra) Other surprises This party's a blast! You won't be disappointed. There will be no more than about a hundred people, so you won't feel crowded and won't have to wait for drinks. You must make your reservation as soon as possible because the spots are expected to go fast this year. I'm always happy to accommodate last-minute people, so you can let me know that you're going to attend up to two hours before the party. However, if you are going to do that or are otherwise unable to pay me by mail prior to December 30, please bring a CHECK ONLY to the party (I don't want to have lots of cash on me) and show up by dinnertime. NOTE ABOUT CANCELLATIONS/LATE ARRIVAL: If you're going to be later than dinnertime (9 PM) or have to cancel entirely, let me know ASAP. I'll have my cell phone with me, so there's no excuse for keeping me in the dark. Right before dinnertime, the restaurant takes a head count. I have to commit to that head count, which will include all people who have paid to that point. I'm very flexible about refunds, but if I don't know about a cancellation as of the head count, I can't return your money. Send payment to:Russ Ceccola 121 Merion Avenue West Conshohocken, PA 19428 (610) 659-3574 (24-hour cell phone/voice mail) RCCola666@aol.com Please list the full names of those that your payment covers because I'll need to check them in at the door. HOTEL INFORMATION: The Palladium is conveniently located two blocks away from the Sheraton University City (36th & Chestnut). There are 50 rooms reserved at a discount rate ($149) for members of our group. Call them at (215) 387-8000 if you'd like to make a reservation. I'd strongly suggest it if you plan to drink because you'll be able to walk (or stumble) back to the hotel without dealing with the crazy New Year's Eve drivers. This arrangement is completely separate from the party, but it has always been a convenient way to prepare for and enjoy the evening. The Sheraton will only guarantee the rooms until December 15, but will still accommodate you after that date if they have rooms available. Tell them you're with the "Palladium group." |
