No matter what your investment interest, there are many web-sites providing valuable investment information. The sites are often free (supported by advertising or as provided as a public service). Other providers operate subscription sites, although even some of these permit limited free access. The list of sites changes daily as new sites appear, old favorites die and, most significantly, sites are improved.
Readers of AAII Computerized Investing magazine (as well as many popular investment publications)periodically feature extensive reviews of the top sites.
Most sites listed below are fully/substantially free. Sites that levy a fee are indicated by a ($) symbol. A (p$) indicates that only some of the sites services are fee based.

There are many free resources on the net that will get you free quotes (delayed) as well as up to date news. Many support entire portfolios - so you can log in and, in seconds, find out how your portfolio is going and see new developments on the market and your stocks and funds

The Federal and State Governments offer important free sites. Especially recommended is the SEC site. Almost every SEC filing by companies and funds (except Insider Trading filings) is posted here within days of receipt. It isn't fancy - but here is the full text of each quarterly and annual report.. and a lot more.
There are a lot of information sources on the internet that are free for the asking. Most mutual funds, firms, brokers and exchanges have public Internet sites. Use a web search engine to look up these sources under the name of the firm or organization, then hyperlink to the site. Bookmarking the site allows you to return directly at a later time.
Investors should also consider Mail-Lists, NetNews and Clari-News. In the future, we will expand the information below. Meanwhile attend the CI "$urfin the Net" features to learn more. Also, hyperlinks above provide links to favorites of other net residents.
Mail-Lists and Discussion groups can be found at a variety of proprietary WEB sites. In general, these are moderated, so that postings remain topical and accurate. The moderator filters out inappropriate postings. In the future, we will add links to some of the best.
