The (E)Isenberg Family in Europe
Some interesting turn of the century newspaper articles about
the trials and tribulations of life for the royal line of (E)Isenbergs in Europe.

Family Trees and genealogy
Links and other surnames.

Letter from Peru
This is an interesting letter written to my Great-Grandfather around the
turn of the 20th Century, by his sister, while she was traveling in Peru with her family.
As she says in the beginning of the letter, "it reads like a dime store novel".
If you're into this kind of historical stuff.....check it out.

J.B. Shoenfelt
This is a newspaper article about Anna Isenberg's husband...
My Great-Grandmother thought he was a crook and a rogue and wouldn't let Great-Grandfather
do any business with him. The story goes that he asked Great-Grandfather
to buy some cemetery plots for him, but Great-Grandmother insisted that the deeds
be left in her name until J.B. paid for them. I guess she was right, because
it was a decade or two before he finally showed up with the money.
Press coverage sure isn't what it used to be...........

The Keller Church
This little church that has been part of our family tradition for nearly 6 generations.

Johnstown Flood of 1889
This article and illustrations appeared in "Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper" June 15, 1889.
There are several illustrations included and descriptions of others.

Reverend Joseph Harper Leeper - Eyewitness Account of the Johnstown Flood of 1889
This first hand story was told in a 1919 publication by Rev. J. H. Leeper.
It appears here courtesy of Wallace N. Leeper. This gripping account is not for the faint of heart.

The California Quarries of Blair County
We discovered this little gem while on vacation one summer!
