Create computer training curriculum, student data files, and web sites. Primary topics of responsibility include Internet/intranet technology, operating systems, and client/server applications. Also developed Office 97 courseware for Microsoft certification programs. Hands-on responsibilities include evaluating competitor's courseware offerings, outlining multi-class courses, and developing instructor-led training manuals, which are later used as a script for multimedia training software. Other responsibilities include the development of data files to accompany courseware, including on-line student data web sites that incorporate ActiveX and Java technology. Started with the Corporate Marketing Department as a technical writer and systems support person. Wrote SOQs, SOPs, and proposals for Risk Assessment division, and wrote articles for the company newsletter. Responsible for maintaining marketing department’s computers; upgrading and installing software; and providing training to marketing department. Accepted a lateral promotion: left Corporate Marketing to work with the Corporate IS department as Systems Administrator. Responsibilities included regular maintenance of workstations, backup of LAN file servers, administration of e-mail hubs and systems, and documentation of procedures. Provided training through "lunch-time learning" classes. Supported multiple offices on the East Coast and responsible for the hiring and management of outside contractors, when necessary.

Projects have included the following reports: Internet Search Strategies, Security Monitoring Software in Electronic Commerce; Microsoft Open Financial Exchange (OFX) Specification; DBS and Internet Television; CU-SeeMe Video Conferencing Software; and Internet Security Standards.
Other clients have included McGraw Hill (for software product analysis articles) and McLaren /Hart (for logic diagram preparation of Federal and State Drinking Water Compliance Programs).
